Growth Manager

London

Full Time

£61,000 – £69,000 OTE

You are a commercially minded relationship-builder who turns prospect curiosity into business opportunity — shaping New Genre’s growth through thoughtful, high-quality client partnerships.

Your responsibilities

Your role

  1. You are responsible for driving new business growth at New Genre, owning the full sales cycle from first-touch to a closed engagement and re-nurturing.

  2. You manage relationships with client stakeholders, understanding their challenges and identifying where New Genre can support their growth.

  3. You support account expansion by staying connected with clients after an initial engagement, identifying opportunities for a deeper partnership.

  4. You confidently lead sales conversations, identifying and developing leads with structured outreach and follow-ups to drive stronger conversion.

  5. You help convert inbound interest into winnable opportunities, while also proactively developing new relationships through your network and outbound efforts.

  6. You work closely with studio leadership to shape proposals — ensuring opportunities are well-scoped, appropriately planned, and set up for long-term success.

  7. You collaborate closely with the rest of the studio team to ensure what is agreed with prospects aligns with the value we provide through delivered work.

  8. You track pipeline, revenue targets, and deal progress with clarity and discipline, sharing visibility with leadership so we can plan capacity and growth effectively.

  9. You bring a strategic lens to growth — contributing ideas around positioning, pricing, partnerships, and adapt as the studio evolves commercially.

  10. You contribute positively to studio culture, operating with integrity, curiosity, and mindset to grow together in the long-term.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or growth roles, ideally within creative studios, agencies, or consultancies.

  • Experience selling project-based or retainer-based services, with an understanding of how we package our core offering and how to scope for design and development work.

  • Comfort owning the full sales cycle — from first conversation to a signed agreement.

  • Confident communication and storytelling skills, with an ability to sell complex engagements to discerning senior stakeholders, founders, and decision-makers.

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage pipeline, follow-ups, and deal progress reliably.

  • A self-starting mindset — you’re comfortable with autonomy, ambiguity, and accountability.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with or selling to startups, scale-ups, and technology companies.

  • Access to an existing network of founders, operators, or investors from which to build client relationships.

  • Experience contributing to pricing strategy or go-to-market thinking.
